Hi!

Welcome to my poetry blog!

I am a twenty-four brown-eyed Aruban wanderer;
forever questioning where I'm going
and where I've been.
And when I'm not reading,
I'm writing. When I'm not writing, I'm reading.

Furthermore, writing has always been my
way of captivating a deep thought, grief,
lost love, depression and even hatred (sometimes).

Feel free to read and comment on my weird,
puzzling, obsessive, reckless and sometimes
confusing poems. It's all about what you
interpret from them that gets me buzzin'!

Thank you and have fun reading y'all.

Your daddies truck

Your daddies truck

     A truck you can’t drive
It       runs on gasoline and,
leaves you stranded behind, alone outside---
The engine blows up and the tires make sounds:
br       oom                      oom      br  chu      ga
chu                                     che            che

Trevor

Trevor
We grew up like grapes in a rusty vineyard;
The wind, always trying to break us apart.
Our surroundings seemed as if a dream on a hot day,
Beautiful from afar, horrendous to be a part of.

The more they pulled, the harder we stretched;
We broke down and fell apart;
Waiting to be held—Picked up
The sand, their hell, our heaven:

We both don’t want to end up as cheap hot wine

Edward Hopper's Automat

Edward Hopper’s Automat

I slave in the kitchen,
I slave in front of the stove,
I come here to slave no more.

A cloud of emptiness,
I drift in and out.
Coffee. Sip, sip?
Oh! My glove is still on;
That ring,
That ring  under that still-worn glove.

Now my forever ball and chain.
